Reclaimed - late 19th Century
Stamped Edward Uppill
Address: Sevenoaks, Kent, TN15 0RP (Sat Nav TN13 1HU)
Description: Consisting of a medieval deer park and what was originally an Archbishop's palace, Knole has belonged to royalty as well as the Sackville family. Photography within the property is limited so the photos above consist of the architecture, courtyards, orangery, gates and park. Open to the public through the National Trust.
Conpiescious inspiration: How to decorate outdoors with natural materials such as plants, antlers, stone and antique marble statues. The use of large planters and the positioning of benches to enjoy the aromas of fruit trees. We particularly loved the paint effect on the walls in the orangery from years of wear and tear. And finally, appreciating the natural beauty of decaying nature.
